Aruban Guilder (AWG) is the official currency of Aruba, an island in the Caribbean that is part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It replaced the Netherlands Antillean Guilder in 1986.

The Aruban Guilder is regulated and issued by the Central Bank of Aruba. It is recognized as legal tender in Aruba and is used for all trade transactions on the island. The ISO 4217 code for the Aruban Guilder is “AWG”.

The Aruban Guilder is divided into 100 cents, although cents are not commonly used in practice and prices are usually quoted in Guilders. The denominations of AWG banknotes are 10, 25, 50, 100, and 200 Guilders. Coins are available in denominations of 5, 10, 25, 50 cents, and 1, 2½, 5 Guilders.

The Aruban Guilder is pegged to the US Dollar at a fixed exchange rate. Approximately 1 US Dollar is equal to 1.75 Aruban Guilders.

The Aruban Guilder is widely used in the tourism sector and other industries that generate foreign exchange earnings. It is also used for daily expenses by the local population in Aruba.
